FAQ - Aquaglu

  • 1. How should I use the AQUAGLU spray?
You’ll get the best effect if you follow these steps:
    1. Shake the bottle well before use.
    2. Spray 4–5 times into the palm of the glove – if possible, make sure it's dry.
    3. Spread AQUAGLU evenly inside the glove.
    4. Let it sit for 10–15 minutes (professionals even let it sit for 30 minutes).

    2. How long before a game or training should I spray the gloves?
10–15 minutes are enough for you to feel the effect. However, it's even better to spray your gloves about 30 minutes before use. If you already know the day before that it’s going to rain, you can spray the gloves then and even repeat the process 2–3 times.

    3. How can I tell that the grip has improved?
Important: The gloves won’t stick together like they do with TURBOGLU. AQUAGLU works in a different way. It helps to repel water more quickly when the ball hits the glove. You’ll notice this because you’ll have better grip on the ball during shots and crosses—especially when the ball is wet.

    4. How long does the improved grip last?
This depends on how wet it is and how heavily it’s raining. AQUAGLU gradually wears off over time when exposed to moisture. We recommend reapplying AQUAGLU after about 45 minutes, or more frequently if needed.

    5. In what weather conditions should I use AQUAGLU?
AQUAGLU is effective in rain and wet conditions. We recommend regularly making a fist and wringing out the gloves during rain. This helps push water out of the latex before the ball makes contact. For dry weather, we recommend using TURBOGLU instead.

    6. Does the grip from AQUAGLU decrease in heavy rain?
AQUAGLU is water-soluble, so it can gradually wash out of the latex in heavy rain. If you notice the grip starting to fade, we recommend reapplying AQUAGLU at halftime or as needed.

    7. Can I wash out the AQUAGLU after use?
Yes, you absolutely should. After each use, rinse your gloves with water and use our glove cleaner, Turboclean. This helps maintain the soft professional grip foam and prevents the pores from clogging, which could reduce grip.

    8. Should I reapply AQUAGLU at halftime?
Yes, doing so can improve the grip again. AQUAGLU can gradually wash out in rain and heavy moisture over time.

    9. How often should I apply the spray to the gloves?
For best results, spray each palm 4–5 times before use. You can repeat the process after 45 minutes or during halftime.

    10. Does AQUAGLU damage the latex of the gloves?
No, AQUAGLU does not damage the latex. However, you should thoroughly wash your gloves after every training session or game to protect and preserve the latex. We recommend using our glove cleaner, TURBOCLEAN, for this.
